Type 2 Diabetes¶
Type 2 diabetes is the end stage of severe insulin resistance, where the pancreas can no longer keep up with insulin demand. Blood sugar rises and damages tissues throughout the body. Evidence consistently supports carbohydrate restriction as a means to reduce medication reliance and even achieve remission of type 2 diabetes in some patients.1
